Warner Bros. changes The Flash movie release date, moving it forward one month to June 2022 from its previous date in July 2022. Ever since Ezra Miller was cast as Barry Allen aka The Flash, fans have clamored for a solo movie starring this iteration of the Scarlet Speedster. And though a movie set in Warner Bros. and DC Films' DC Extended Universe continuity has been in the works for many years, it's had a number of setbacks.
The Flash movie seemed to finally be moving forward when director Andy Muschietti (IT) signed on to helm the project and Warner Bros. gave it a release date in 2022. More recently, Miller was at the center of a scandal that had some folks wondering whether the studio would continue developing the DC movie with him as the star. However, it seems The Flash is staying on course and will even release earlier than previously expected.
Warner Bros. announced multiple changes to their upcoming release slate today, including a few DC movies. While both The Batman release date and Shazam 2 release dates have been delayed, The Flash moves up one month to June 3, 2022, from July 1, 2022.
More to come...
