New Flash episode synopsis teases Barry and Iris break-up - digitalspy.com

It's safe to say that The Flash's Barry Allen and Iris West are having some marriage trouble at the moment, what with Mirror-Iris smashing wine bottles, speaking Italian, and generally destabilising the couple.

Unfortunately, it seems, those troubles aren't about to go away any time soon. A brand new episode synopsis for The Flash season six confirms "huge changes ahead" for the fan-favourite pair.

Following the revelation that the real Iris has been trapped inside a mirror dimension, The Flash's showrunner, Eric Wallace, has warned fans that Barry and Iris are "about to experience the rockiest month of their marriage so far" (via TVLine).

With many fans concerned that a divorce might even be on the cards for the West-Allens, Wallace has neither confirmed nor denied the theory. "Where it ends and what happens as a result? Sorry, no spoilers here!" he said.

The official synopsis for season six episode 'Liberation' is equally vague, reading (via Comicbook.com): "HUGE CHANGES AHEAD FOR BARRY AND IRIS – After recent events, Barry (Grant Gustin) takes a closer look at his life with Iris (Candice Patton). Eva (guest star Efrat Dor) makes a bold move."

With The Flash's return not expected until April 21, it seems fans will be kept on the edge of their seats for a little longer when it comes to the fate of the show's – hell, even the Arrowverse's – central couple...

The Flash airs on Tuesdays at 8/7c on The CW in the US. Sky One and NOW TV air the show in the UK.
