The CW Announces Return Dates For Grant Gustin's The Flash & More Amid Coronavirus Pandemic Outbreak - Heroic Hollywood

The CW has announced return dates for Grant Gustin’s The Flash and more Arrowverse shows following delays caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

With the coronavirus pandemic forcing businesses to close and individuals to practice social distancing, The CW’s The Flash and other Arrowverse shows are among the many projects that have been forced to shut down production in order to help slow the spread of the disease. Consequently, The CW has been forced to adjust its programming schedule by delaying new episodes of Grant Gustin’s The Flash and more due to a shortage of new episodes to air.

Now, The CW has announced that The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow will begin airing new episodes on Tuesday, April 21st, starting at 8:00 pm. On the following Sunday, April 26th, Supergirl and Batwoman will return with new episodes in their respective timeslots. It is currently unclear how many new episodes of Grant Gustin’s The Flash or any of the other shows will air as there is no clear indication of when production on each series can resume.

The next episode of The Flash is titled “So Long and Goodnight” and you can read the official synopsis below:

BLACK HOLE THREATENS JOE’S LIFE – After Black Hole hires Rag Doll (guest star Troy James) to kill Joe (Jesse L. Martin), Singh (guest star Patrick Sabongui) suggests he go into Witness Protection but Joe refuses to stop investigating Carver (guest star Eric Nenninger). While investigating Carver with Cisco (Carlos Valdes), Ralph (Hartley Sawyer) runs into Sue (guest star Natalie Dreyfuss). Iris (Candice Patton) becomes suspicious of Eva (guest star Efrat Dor). Alexandra La Roche directed the episode written by Kristen Kim & Thomas Pound (#616).

The Flash stars Grant Gustin as Barry Allen / The Flash, Candice Patton as Iris West, Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow / Killer Frost, Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramon / Vibe, Tom Cavanagh as Harrison Wells, Jesse L. Martin as Joe West, Danielle Nicolet as Cecile Horton, and Hartley Sawyer as Ralph Dibny / Elongated Man.

The Flash airs on Tuesdays at 8:00 p.m. ET on The CW.
