The Flash Threw The MIGHTIEST Punch in DC History | Screen Rant - Screen Rant

The Flash once threw the mightiest punch in DC history faster than you can say "ouch." The scarlet speedster is easily one of DC's most powerful characters. He is persistently improving, as being the fastest man alive pits him against some of DC's strongest villains, including his nemesis, The Reverse-Flash. Flash has saved the DC multiverse on a number of occasions just through the sheer power of his speed. But what happens when he uses that speed to attack?

Superman is often revered as the Justice League's strongest hero and the earth's champion and has challenged The Flash in multiple races over the course of the comics, but in recent years, both Barry Allen and Wally West were able to easily beat Superman in a footrace. In Flash Rebirth #3 Superman attempts to stop Flash from returning to the Speed Force, but The Flash tells him the only reason Superman could ever even compete in previous races was because they were for charity and he was taking it easy on Supes. Flash then takes off and effortlessly enters the speed force at will.

Flash is most known for the unbelievable feats he is able to accomplish when he runs at top-speed, like literally running through time. And he often makes quick work of petty criminals and even super villains by using his speed to disarm or disorient them. In The Flash#153, the fastest man alive uses his incredible speed for a fearsome attack against The Reverse-Flash, addressed as Professor Zoom in this story. The issue was cleverly named The Mightiest Punch of All Time because the attack was in fact so powerful it knocked Eobard Thawne into the future.

In The Flash #153, The Reverse-Flash uses a cosmic treadmill in the future to travel from the 25th century to the 20th century, Barry Allen's timeline. Reverse-Flash attempts to convert the reformed villain Mr. Element back to his evil ways. But after his plan is thwarted, The Flash punches him so hard that the inner vibrations keeping him in the past are disrupted. He essentially punches The Reverse-Flash back to the 25th century, basically knocking him through time.

The Flash, like many of his fellow League members, possesses a strong sense of justice. He also possesses a power so limitless that he is able to deal with most catastrophic events that the DC multiverse may face. Abiding by a moral code similar to that of Batman and Superman, The Flash often tries to subdue his enemies instead of killing them. If The Flash were ever to use his powers for lethal force. his enemies would face devastating consequences. Evildoers beware, the fastest man alive packs a punch.
