Fan artist George Evangelista has put his own spin on a piece of concept art for The Flash film that was revealed at DC FanDome earlier this month. Said piece of concept art involves Ezra Miller's Flash uniting with what appears to be Michael Keaton's version of Batman to fight unknown adversaries.
"This piece was done after watching the Flash panel at DC Fandome," Evangelista wrote on Twitter. "I took inspiration for the concept art shown and did my interpretation of it." Evangelista's piece features clearer lighting, with Keaton's Batman looking to the sky and Miller's Flash in the runner's position. Wisps of blue and gold lightning crackle through the Flash's body.
The Flash panel for DC FanDome featured Miller in attendance, as well as director Andy Muschietti (It, It: Chapter Two). Muschietti implied that Barry Allen's new Flash suit would be designed by none other than Bruce Wayne himself -- though it's unclear which one, as in addition to Keaton's return as the Dark Knight, Ben Affleck will also be reprising his role as the DC Extended Universe's Batman. The new suit is sleeker and more form-fitting than the armor Allen sported in Justice League.
The Flash will take its cues from the Flashpoint limited series and will evidently feature Barry traversing dimensions, coming face-to-face with different versions of DC characters -- the two aforementioned Batmen being the first examples. The film has had a rocky road to production, having lost several directors and screenwriters while seeing its release date postponed.
Directed by Andy Muschietti with a script by Christina Hodson, The Flash stars Ezra Miller as Barry Allen. It is scheduled to arrive in theaters on June 3, 2022.
