Ezra Miller’s Flash Gets New Wayne Tech Suit In Movie Fan Art - Screen Rant

A new piece of fan art envisions what a fleshed-out version of Barry Allen’s new suit from his upcoming solo film The Flash could look like. The new suit was revealed in concept at DC FanDome, giving a glimpse into the next look for Ezra Miller’s version of the character.

The Flash has quickly become one of the most highly anticipated comic book movies since DC announced that the film will be pivotal in introducing the DCEU’s new multiverse. Multiple iterations of Batman will appear in the movie alongside Miller, including Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck. The multiverse move opens up a lot of doors for the future of DC films, allowing for movies that are very differently narratively and stylistically to coexist in a loose, shared universe, more akin to the Arrowverse (which has already crossed over with the DC films), than to the MCU. With Keaton’s return imminent, the possibility for more past stars to be reintroduced to the canon is very exciting for fans.

In a new fan poster on Instagram, artist ultraraw26 shows what The Flash’s new suit could look like in action. The poster shows Barry Allen in a sleek rendition of his signature red and yellow, racing toward the “camera” with fierce determination. His glowing gold lightning bolt sigil shines brightly, as the air around him crackles to life. Overall, like the art released at FanDome, ultraraw26’s version is much truer to the classic comic book aesthetic than the suit Allen wears in Justice League.

During The Flash panel at DC FanDome, director Andy Muschietti revealed that Barry will receive a new suit from Keaton's Bruce Wayne. With the presence of multiple Batmen in The Flash, it makes sense that Barry’s fresh look will come from the Caped Crusader. Given The Flash’s foundation in the famous Flashpoint comic storyline and the introduction of the film multiverse, it’s possible that Barry changes outfits after meeting up with Keaton’s Batman in an alternate reality.

Of course, Affleck’s Bruce Wayne already served as a mentor figure for The Flash in Justice League, so he might have something to do with the new suit too. Zack Snyder has said before that it was originally intended for Batman to give the Flash a Wayne Tech suit in Justice League, and with the Snyder Cut finally set to release next year as a four-part miniseries on HBO Max, fans might finally get a glimpse of that version. Either way, ultraraw26’s flashy rendition certainly adds to the building anticipation for when The Flash releases in 2022.
