Affleck, Keaton & Flashpoint Batman Unite In The Flash Movie Fan Poster - Screen Rant

Ben Affleck, Michael Keaton, and Flashpoint Batman all gather for this stacked The Flash fan poster. Ezra Miller joined the DCEU in 2016 as Barry Allen, aka the Flash. He only had two cameos in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad, so it wasn't until 2017's Justice League that Miller was finally given a full role. However, The Flash has been in development long before Miller's first DCEU appearance, which is why it's a little strange that it hasn't yet happened. The Flash has been delayed numerous times over the years as it switched directors.

Now it finally seems like The Flash is making real progress. It director Andy Muschietti is currently signed on, and Birds of Prey's Christina Hodson has penned the script. As of right now, The Flash is scheduled for release in June 2022, meaning production will likely start up next year. Signs of progress are already exciting, but the additions of Affleck and Keaton make things even more exciting. Keaton was announced to be in talks to reprise his Batman back in June, and news broke last week that Affleck will also be playing Batman in the film. This, of course, is all possible through the multiverse, which The Flash is expected to explore in great detail.

Digital artist Yadvender Singh Rana has designed a new fan poster for The Flash that unites Affleck and Keaton's Batman, as well as Thomas Wayne's Caped Crusader. In the Flashpoint storyline from the comics, Thomas becomes Batman after Barry alters reality by traveling back in time to save his mother. The Flash is expected to adapt the Flashpoint storyline, hence the inclusion of Thomas here. Also featured on this poster are Superman (Henry Cavill) and Cyborg (Ray Fisher).

While Keaton and Affleck are certain to appear in The Flash, the others included in the fan poster are less certain. Reports have already suggested Flashpoint Batman won't be in the film, and despite Cavill's DCEU return in a supporting capacity, it currently seems unlikely that he will be featured in The Flash. Right now, Cyborg seems to be the one most likely to appear, though Fisher didn't officially comment on his involvement when asked last month.

Regardless of who is involved, The Flash is already shaping up to be an exciting movie. Fans have waited a long time to see Miller's Barry appear in his own solo movie, and the promise of a Flashpoint storyline makes things even more intriguing. Perhaps more familiar faces will join the film as production gets closer, but for now, The Flash can count on two beloved Batmen to join forces with Barry.
