John Diggle Won't Become Green Lantern In Grant Gustin's 'The Flash' - Heroic Hollywood

Arrow star David Ramsey has confirmed that John Diggle won’t suit up as the Arrowverse’s Green Lantern on Grant Gustin’s The Flash.

The Arrowverse shows have previously hinted at John Diggle potentially becoming the Green Lantern, but the series finale of Arrow seems to have officially set the path for the character to become the Emerald Knight down the line. While John Diggle prepares to move to Metropolis at the end of Arrow, a piece of debris falls from the sky and is revealed the be a box that emits a green glow, suggesting he has come across a Green Lantern Corps Power Ring.

Of course, with Arrow now finished, fans are eager to know if and when they can expect to see John Diggle return and take on the Green Lantern mantle. Fortunately, fans won’t have to wait long to see John Diggle again as the character will appear in the upcoming episode of Grant Gustin’s The Flash, which David Ramsey discussed during an interview with TV Line:

“There’s a whole cast [of characters] over there that’s still recovering from Oliver’s death, and part of the connection to Oliver is Diggle, obviously. So Diggle’s presence there serves as kind of a conduit, a way to grieve. But there’s also a case, there’s something to solve… that Diggle’s a part of.”

However, David Ramsey confirmed that John Diggle won’t be suiting up as Green Lantern when he makes his appearance on the Grant Gustin series:

“No, that doesn’t happen. It is John Diggle over there as John Diggle, and we’re working on a case.”
