More than half, or 51%, of employees in the Czech Republic got a pay rise in 2020, reports IDNES, citing data from Grafton Recruitment. At the same time, 10% of employees saw their wages fall. This reduction was mainly seen in those working in sales, retail and marketing and the drop was usually 10-15%. The most satisfied workers were in IT and corporate services, university graduates and younger generations, while production workers and those that did not pass their final secondary school leaving exam are the least content. The data from Grafton also found that employees are the most motivated by job security, followed by wages. A quarter of people, who were unsatisfied, most often complained about a low wage, unpleasant boss and no career prospects.
