The Flash Reuses An Arrow Villain Actor In Season 7 (Because Of Crisis?) - Screen Rant

Through The Flash season 7, the Arrowverse is reusing an actress who played a villain on Arrow, possibly because of Crisis on Infinite Earths. Kristen Kramer actress Carmen Moore appeared as an antagonist in three episodes of Arrow, long before her debut in that series' spinoff show.

Kristen Kramer, a member of a law enforcement agency, has so far been integral to The Flash season 7’s Killer Frost story. Shortly after coming to Central City, Kramer revealed her intention to arrest Frost (Danielle Panabaker) for the crimes she committed in her past. Team Flash tried to dissuade her from her objective, but Kramer’s resolve hasn’t wavered. In episode 7, she tried to connect a new murder to Frost, but the real culprit turned out to be Chillblaine (Jon Cor), who had managed to replicate her powers. That being said, this didn’t clear Frost of the real crimes that she was involved with in earlier seasons. After electing to deal with the consequences of her actions, Frost turned herself over to Kramer, who's sure to play a role in what comes next for Frost.

It’s worth noting that the actress playing this character already has Arrowverse connections. In Arrow seasons 3 and 4, she played Mina Fayad, a high-level operative at Damien Darhk’s H.I.V.E. organization. During her time with the group, she tried (and failed) to eliminate Diggle’s brother, and also sent the metahuman villain Double Down after Green Arrow (Stephen Amell) on behalf of Darhk. Her inability to succeed caused Darhk to kill her as punishment. That was the end for her in the Arrowverse, but it’s possible that in a sense, she’s been brought back.

Normally, an actor shouldn’t be able play totally separate characters who exist in the same universe, but Crisis on Infinite Earths makes this work. The rebirth of the multiverse made numerous major and subtle changes to the world and the people who live in it. This aspect of the Crisis has made it easy for Arrowverse shows to reinvent and recast certain characters, with a recent example of this being what was done with Superman & Lois’ take on Morgan Edge. If people can look different after the Crisis, it could be that Arrow’s Mina Fayed was revived with a whole new life and identity.

So because of the Crisis, it’s not a problem that Moore has already portrayed an Arrowverse character. It goes to show just how much shows set in the Arrowverse have benefited from the nature of the Crisis. As it was intended, it serves as the perfect explanation for any change that would be regarded as a continuity error in any other case. The fact that Mina Fayad and Kristen Kramer look the same is unlikely to ever matter in The Flash season 7. Unless The Flash is building up to a villainous twist, it looks like the justice-minded Kramer has nothing in common with Fayad. However, it’s possible that if she’s still around when Diggle (David Ramsay) makes his upcoming guest appearance, a reference to this could be made.
