Ever since its debut in 2014 on The CW, The Flash has been one of the network's most successful shows. The Arrowverse show about the Scarlet Speedster has consistently told new and exciting comic book stories every week. While some seasons and storylines receive less love than others, The Flash continues to generate buzz in the comic book world.
The show's 7th season is currently airing, and an 8th season has already been confirmed for fall 2021, meaning fans will get to see at least one more season about the fastest man alive, which is good news because at its best, The Flash is one of the best superhero shows on TV.
7 Season 7 Said Farewell To A Few Fan Favorites - 6.8 Average
Even though it is still running, the current season of The Flash has made quite the impression. Wrapping up the Mirrorverse storyline early in the season, The Flash began a new story centered on 4 different forces, including the Speed Force, Sage Force, Strength Force, and Still Force.
Unfortunately for fans of The Flash, both Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramon and Tom Cavanagh as the various versions of Harrison Wells, are stepping away from the show as series regulars. Perhaps the final few episodes of the season will bring up the season's average rating.
6 Season 6 Dealt With A Certain Crisis - 7.5 Average
First teased in the final moments of The Flash's pilot episode, a crisis was imminent for the heroes of the Arrowverse. Barry spent the first half of season 6 preparing for what he believed to be his death during the "Crisis on Infinite Earths" crossover, only to be saved by the Flash of Earth-90.
In addition to the crisis, season 6 saw Barry and Team Flash battling Ramsey Rosso as Bloodwork and Eva McCulloch as Mirror Monarch, who both acted as main villains of the season.

Team Flash eventually defeats The Thinker in the finale and Cecile gives birth to a baby girl that she and Joe name Jenna. The final scene of the season sees Nora revealing herself as the future daughter of Barry and Iris.
4 Season 5 Showed Barry Being A Father - 8.0 Average
Season 5 of The Flash brought with it a new storyline revolving around Nora, the future daughter of Barry and Iris. While secretly working for a version of the Reverse-Flash from 2049, Nora attempts to save her father from disappearing in "Crisis on Infinite Earths" and to destroy Cicada's dagger.

3 Season 3 Saw Barry Fighting Himself - 8.2 Average
Season 3 of The Flash began with an adaptation of the DC Comics Flashpoint story. About halfway through the season, Barry witnessed a future where Iris was killed by the main villain, Savitar, later revealed to be one of Barry's time remnants. The back half of the season focused on Team Flash attempting to change Iris's fate.
At the end of the season, H.R. Wells of Earth-19 sacrificed himself to save Iris from Savitar. The final moments of the season saw Barry entering a Speed Force prison because of his actions in creating Flashpoint.
2 Season 2 Introduced The Multiverse In The Arrowverse - 8.6 Average
After an exceptional first season, season 2 of The Flash continued its success by also adding a few new elements to the series. Season 2 of The Flash featured a 2-episode crossover with Arrow, which was a setup for Legends of Tomorrow. Zoom, a speedster from Earth-2, served as the main villain of the season.
The season finale saw the Flash putting an end to Zoom's nefarious plan to destroy the multiverse. The finale also introduced John Wesley Shipp's Jay Garrick, known as the Flash of Earth-3.
1 Season 1 Gave The Series A Strong Start - 8.7 Average
The show's first season is still the best. After appearing in season 2 of Arrow, Grant Gustin's Barry Allen began headlining his own series the following year. As one of the best seasons of superhero television, season 1 of The Flash told how Barry became the fastest man alive.
This season also introduced some of the Flash's most iconic villains, including Captain Cold, Heat Wave, and the big bad of the season, Reverse-Flash. The debut season of The Flash is a great example of how to successfully tell a superhero story.
