The Flash Season 8 Star Teases Huge Finale Cameo That No One's Guessed - Screen Rant

The Flash season 8 finale will have a major and very surprising cameo, according to one of its stars. Since The Flash resumed its ongoing season 8, the DC drama has been tackling one of its darkest ever storylines. While crafting its own take on the DC storyline Blackest Night, Barry Allen and his team has been busy tackling the villainous Deathstorm as the show's current Big Bad. Even though Deathstorm was featured in The Flash season 2, the show is taking advantage of the Arrowverse's Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover to re-introduce a new take on the DC baddie in a more comic-accurate way.

Since The Flash season 6, the series has shifted into a graphic novel format, which allows the show to feature numerous villains in their own self-contained arcs. While The Flash season 8's Deathstorm saga has become more intense and certainly raised the stakes on the series, this ongoing arc is coming closer to its end. With only a few episodes left before The Flash season 8 finale, the Arrowverse show is also getting ready to lose a major character, as it's been confirmed that episode 13 will see someone killed off.

With The Flash season 8 finale set to air in late June, it looks like The CW drama will have even more surprises in store for its long-time viewers. In a new interview with TVLine, Dani Nicolet, who plays Cecile Horton, revealed that there is a massive cameo in the finale, which will be The Flash season 8, episode 20. While Nicolet wouldn't reveal the character's identity, the cameo is supposedly someone fans have not guessed yet. The actor shared the following:

“Oh my god, it’s so huge and you’re going to see a face that you are going to be so surprised to see. So surprised. Anybody that you’re thinking it might be, nope! It’s not at all who you think it is. Everyone is going to be screaming, they’ll be so excited to see this person.”

Some characters that can be taken off the list for this surprise cameo right away are Nora West-Allen/XS and Bart West-Allen/Impulse. Jessica Parker Kennedy and Jordan Fisher, who play the West-Allen siblings respectively, have been featured in Instagram photos with various cast members of The Flash. Based on Nicolet's comments, it could either be a character who is making their debut, or perhaps someone from another Arrowverse TV show. Danielle Panabaker, who plays Caitlin Snow and Killer Frost, has also shared that the last few episodes of The Flash season 8 will feature some familiar faces. Since Nicolet is hyping up this mystery player, it wouldn't be surprising if this surprise cameo character has a role to play in The Flash season 9, either as a recurring guest or a new series regular.

As The Flash season 8 finishes in June, the DC drama will be one of the few Arrowverse shows to return for the 2022-2023 TV season. While Superman & Lois season 3 has been confirmed, Batwoman and Legends of Tomorrow were officially cancelled late last week. The CW has yet to reveal if Naomi season 2 will happen, and since Stargirl season 3 hasn't premiered yet, it remains to be seen if season 4 will become a reality or not. When The Flash season 9 starts, it will officially become Arrowverse's longest-running series as it surpasses Arrow's run. Perhaps this major mystery cameo in The Flash season 8 will also make it the Arrowverse's most shocking.
