The Flash season 8 is coming to screens soon, but we’ll have to wait a little longer for it.
It seems like no time since Barry Allen was battling the four Flash Forces and Godspeed in the heart of Central City. The Flash season 7 was definitely one of the veteran show’s most divisive offerings but a much stronger finish left fans excited for the eighth season.
But time flies almost as fast as the Scarlet Speedster’s Kryptonian bestie as it has now been over two months since we last caught up with Team Flash and the gang at S.T.A.R. Labs. But fear not, because, as we already mentioned, the show has indeed been renewed for an eighth season, meaning that the adventures will continue for the long-running Arrowverse series.
Fans are particularly excited for the first five episodes of the season as they will serve as a special crossover-like event titled “Armageddon“, featuring stars from other Arrowverse shows such as Chyler Leigh (Supergirl‘s Alex Danvers/Sentinel), Javicia Leslie (Batwoman‘s Ryan Wilder/Batwoman), Brandon Routh (Legends of Tomorrow‘s Ray Palmer), Katherine McNamara (Arrow‘s Mia Queen) and Black Lightning‘s titular hero Cress Williams.
Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait a little while longer for The Flash season 8 and the 5-part crossover event to premiere because The CW’s schedule confirms that the show won’t be returning this month. Thankfully, though, we won’t have to wait that much longer.
The Flash season 8 premiere date on The CW
The Flash season 8 premieres on Tuesday, November 16, at 8/7c. That will mark the first part of the crossover event as the show will then run for four more weekly episodes before taking a midseason break. When it returns in early 2022, it will officially kick off the season 8 storyline.
The show will also have a new airing partner this year as fellow veteran Riverdale is moving from Wednesdays to join The Flash, airing immediately after it in the 9/8c slot for its sixth season.
