Ezra Miller becomes his own worst enemy, the Reverse-Flash, in a new The Flash movie fan art. Following Zack Snyder’s Justice League and promises of a multiverse, The Flash is arguably the DCEU's most exciting upcoming project. Director Andy Muschietti has confirmed the movie will at least roughly adapt the beloved Flashpoint storyline, which sees Barry Allen run through time to undo his mother’s death. Of course, this will have serious ramifications on the timeline(s).
Flash’s time-altering Speed Force abilities were showcased at the end of Snyder’s Justice League. While Warner Bros/DC has abandoned the Snyder-Verse, aspects of it will carry over into The Flash; including characters like Ben Affleck’s Batman and Kiersey Clemons’ Iris West. The film will also feature the exciting return of Michael Keaton as Batman and the debut of Sasha Calle as Supergirl. Filming for the game-changing blockbuster is well underway with set photos leaking almost weekly. Recent photos see Miller talking to what looks like a Barry Allen from another timeline. However, this alternate version of himself is wearing a yellow jacket with a yellow swoosh symbol, leading many to believe this version is the Reverse-Flash.
Artist Spdrmnkyxxiii recently shared some fan art imagining Ezra Miller playing the Reverse-Flash, a key player in the Flashpoint storyline. In the comics, and Arrowverse’s The Flash, Barry’s mother is murdered by Reverse-Flash. Check out Miller’s creepy grin below:

Either Miller is playing the DCEU’s Reverse-Flash or casting for that role hasn’t been announced yet. It’s worth noting that Barry has never before been depicted as the Reverse-Flash, and having him be the villain (maybe Eobard Thawne is the good guy in this reality) would be a new approach to The Flash mythos. A lot of fans think the other Flash is from Michael Keaton’s Batman universe. Although, it would make more sense if that Flash was played by a different actor.
It remains to be seen if The Flash will feature Thomas Wayne. In the Flashpoint storyline, the alternate timeline Barry creates sees Thomas Wayne survive that fateful mugging instead of Bruce, which leads to the former becoming Batman. Given the actor and the character’s age, it’s possible fans have been misled to think Keaton is playing Bruce when in fact he is playing Thomas. Otherwise, Flash would have to travel to the future instead of an alternate timeline to meet an older Bruce. If Miller is playing an alternate, dark Flash, it would make sense for that character to exist with a Thomas Wayne. Regardless, after the Snyder’s Justice League, The Flash aims to be the DCEU’s multiversal reset, which will facilitate plot holes and other inconsistencies—everything is canon.
