MULTI-AGENCY RESOURCE CENTER
The Humphreys County MARC is open at Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 109 N. Church St., in Waverly. The center will operate from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Central, every day including weekends.
FEMA and SBA will have representatives at the Humphreys County MARC to help with registration for federal programs and assistance. Updates will be provided on the specific state and local agencies and services to be located at MARC as the center becomes operational.
Planning for a second MARC is underway for Hickman County with a potential opening on Tuesday. More information will be provided when opening and operational hours are confirmed.
FATALITIES
The Tennessee Department of Health has confirmed 20 weather-related fatalities in Humphreys County.

HURRICANE IDA
Hurricane Ida is continuing to impact western Cuba today causing flash flooding and mudslides. The National Hurricane Center expects Ida to be an extremely dangerous major hurricane when it reaches the Louisiana coast Sunday. Heavy rainfall from Louisiana to coastal Mississippi is forecast with flooding impacts possible across portions of the lower Mississippi and Tennessee valleys.
Hurricane Ida’s remnants may reach the west and middle portions of Tennessee on Tuesday and Wednesday, with heavy rain and flash flooding possible over the same areas as last weekend’s flood emergency.
Tennessee Task Force II departed Nashville today deploying to Louisiana to perform search and rescue missions if needed after Hurricane Ida makes landfall.
The American Red Cross is getting a shelter ready in New Johnsonville as it plans for the incoming weather.
