DC's New Flash Accepts Title As Multiverse's Most Important Speedster - Screen Rant

After initially rejecting being called The Flash, Avery Ho has finally accepted the title as she becomes the most important speedster in the DC Multiverse. In Justice League Incarnate #4 by DC Comics, the Earth-0 hero tells the rest of the superteam to refer to her as The Flash. Previously, Ho asked her fellow teammates to call her Avery, as she didn't feel like she earned the name.

With Barry Allen stuck in a pocket dimension, the Justice League Incarnate called on Avery Ho to be the team's official speedster. Hailing from Earth-0, the Flash of China is a member of Justice League China. In order to save the Multiverse, the Justice League Incarnate recruited Ho, as Barry Allen chose Ho as his replacement should anything happen to him. Immediately, Ho asked the JLI to call her Avery and not The Flash, as she didn't believe she deserved to replace the DC Universe's greatest speedster. However, as the superteam faces off against their most dangerous threat yet, Ho finally accepts The Flash's title.

In Justice League Incarnate #4 by Joshua Williamson, Dennis Culver, Chris Burnham, Mike Norton, Andrei Bressan, Hi-Fi, and Tom Napolitano, Doctor Multiverse explains that Darkseid wants to defeat the Great Darkness. She tells the JLI he cracked open the Multiverse to stop the entity from consuming everything - and that Darkseid must win. After the supervillain disintegrates Flashpoint Batman, the heroes gather to figure out their next step. As the heroes decide to go to Earth-7 to find their lost teammates before taking down Darkseid after he defeats the Great Darkness, Avery Ho tells Superman the team can call her The Flash and that she's "all the way in."

Avery Ho telling Superman that she wants to be called The Flash shows how far she's come as a hero on the Justice League Incarnate. Initially, she refused the title, believing she wasn't worthy of it. However, after several dangerous multiversal adventures with the superteam, she finally understands the big role she plays on the team. So, she accepts the title as the most important Flash in the Multiverse - and it's well-earned.

The Justice League Incarnate's most dangerous mission awaits them, as they will have to deal with Darkseid, assuming he can stop the Great Darkness. If he doesn't, things will be even more challenging. However, the team is more unified than ever before as Avery Ho accepted The Flash title and is ready to help save the Multiverse from destruction.
