When is The Flash, season 7, episode 12 return date and how many episodes are left? The veteran Arrowverse series returned for season 7 in March, wrapping up its Mirrorverse storyline from season 6 before moving into a Speed Force storyline that featured three new Forces — Strength, Sage, and Still Force — in addition to the original Speed Force, who had once again taken the guise of Barry Allen’s mother Nora. The Flash season 7’s episode 12, called “Good-Bye Vibrations,” will air on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at 8pm ET. The episode will officially bid farewell to Carlos Valdes’ Cisco Ramon, with the actor’s departure from the show after seven seasons having been announced shortly before. Valdes has been a series regular on The Flash since season 1 and his character’s exit was instigated by a fear vision that saw him still stuck working at S.T.A.R. Labs after 40 years while everyone else had moved on with their lives. The episode promises to be an emotional one as Cisco says goodbye to his friends and leaves Central City, and the life he’s built for himself there, behind him to start anew with girlfriend Kamilla.
Due to pandemic-related shutdowns last year, The Flash didn’t begin filming season 7 until October (the show typically begins production in July). With additional days needed for filming — because of new health protocols and COVID-19 testing — and a late production start, The Flash won’t be getting the series’ usual 22-episode season order. Rather, season 7 will have only 18 episodes in total. After episode 11, called “Family Matters, Part 2,” leaves the series with only seven episodes left before it wraps up its remaining storylines, with the season 7 finale scheduled to air on July 20.
This also means that when the show returns for “Good-Bye Vibrations” on June 8, there won’t be anymore breaks, airing uninterrupted until its season finale. With the Forces storyline over, The Flash must still contend with the villain Godspeed, who has shown up a couple of times thus far but whose identity remains a huge mystery the series has yet to tackle. He will likely be the primary villain for the second half of the season. Fans can also look forward to the arrival of speedsters Bart and Nora West-Allen, Barry and Iris’ children from the future, who will appear in the 150th episode of The Flash and which will also see the return of Jay Garrick.
While The Flash will have a truncated season 7 because of the pandemic, the series’ season 8 will likely return to the usual 22-episode season format, beginning with a five-episode event that will see other characters from throughout the Arrowverse appear in individual episodes. Until then, The Flash has quite a few storylines left to cover before season 7 wraps. But there are seven episodes left, which is hopefully enough time to turn things around for a satisfying end to the season.
