The Flash Season 7 Will Reportedly Start Filming Next Week - Screen Rant

After what seems like an incredibly long wait, season 7 of The Flash will reportedly begin filming in Canada next week. CW's The Flash focuses on the adventures of Barry Allen, a speedster who teams up with a variety of allies to both fight scheming villains and (on occasion) save the world. The Flash is also currently one of the central shows within the greater Arrowverse.

Although season 6 of The Flash ended early due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, the aired finale still wrapped up a substantial amount of plot threads. However, several major twists still need to be acknowledged in the upcoming season 7. For one, the status of Eobard's spirit remains yet to be resolved. In addition, the Mirror saga hasn't ended either; as such, not only will Eva McCulloch return in her role as Mirror Mistress next season, but key characters of Iris, Kamilla, and Singh are still stuck in the Mirrorverse with supposedly no way home.

It seems that all these questions and more will soon be answered, as Deadline reports that The Flash will begin filming on October 1st in Vancouver, Canada. In spite of the good news, however, it's possible that such a date will be further delayed. As such, considering the ever-changing environment of navigating this new COVID-19 landscape, plans for filming could be changed prior to October 1st if deemed necessary.

The Flash isn't the only superhero show to receive the greenlight for filming once again. Legends of Tomorrow is set to resume shooting for season 6 in early October as well. In addition, Superman & Lois, one of the new additions to CW's Arrowverse, will start filming in mid-October. After COVID-19 forced a production shutdown for many television series, it's good to see that the cast and crew of various shows are ready to return to work at full speed ahead.

Filming for season 7 of The Flash has been an uphill battle, to say the least; the show has not only had to factor in COVID-19, but local crew disputes as well. Still, it seems that most challenges have been resolved and The Flash has been cleared to move ahead for an early October shoot. All in all, while adapting to various hurdles presented by COVID-19 is necessary to ensure the mutual safety of all cast and crew involved, fans will be relieved to know that The Flash will be back in a flash.
