CW's The Flash: 5 Rogues That Gave The Flash A Hard Time (& 5 That Were A Complete Joke) - Screen Rant

As one of the best shows on the CW, The Flash has brought in plenty of villains from the comics in his long list of Rogues. While every single rogue has their own vendetta against The Flash, not all of them have been able to get to the Scarlet Speedster for one reason or another.

While some villains like the Reverse-Flash or Gorilla Grodd have been able to get the upper hand and even beat Barry, not all of the villains share the same luxury. Looking at all the Rogues in the show, here are five villains that gave The Flash a fight and five that weren't even worth his time.

10 TOUGH VILLAINS: Gorilla Grodd

As one of the most well-known villains in both the comics and the show, Gorilla Grodd has given Barry some headaches (both literally and figuratively) while being one of the most dangerous threats the Central City.

In just about every one of his appearances on the show, he has been able to easily take on Barry and it usually takes the whole team to bring him down. From his telepathy and intelligence to his brute strength and size, he is one of the worst villains we've seen on the show.

9 EASY VILLAINS: The Trickster

He's pretty much a knockoff Joker, even portrayed by Mark Hamill, who has voiced the Joker on several occasions. He's just as eccentric and unstable, using gags and tricks to terrorize the city and manipulating his own family to do his bidding.

Although he may act like the Joker, he's nowhere near as iconic as the Clown Prince of Crime and is more comical than anything, With The Flash easily being able to take him on in all of his appearances.

8 TOUGH VILLAINS: Captain Cold

He's arguably one of the most iconic Flash villains to date due to his resourcefulness and wit. He may just be a human with a cold gun but he is also a very strategic thinker and is always one step ahead of The Flash or anyone he is working with.

They may have a love-hate relationship, but Leonard Snart has always had the upper hand on Barry and the rest of Team Flash. Barry's probably happy he doesn't have to worry about facing Captain Cold anymore.

7 EASY VILLAINS:  Killer Frost

Killer Frost has been a disappointment and many fans agree that she wasn't written incorrectly and shares almost nothing with her comic book counterpart. She started off as a ruthless and cold-blooded killer but she quickly transitioned into a moody, emotional, and childish hero that served as a sort of comic relief.

Even when she was a villain, Barry could usually take her on and had no problems bringing her down, he just had to look beyond trying to hurt his best friend.

6 TOUGH VILLAINS: The Thinker

As the big bad in season 4, The Thinker was easily able to manipulate Barry's life and even frame him for murder and send him to jail for a short period of time. He was always steps ahead of Barry and carefully planned everything to lead to Barry's downfall and success of his plan.

He was the first non-speedster to act as the big bad, and Barry was still to slow to stop The Thinker and his plan to brainwash the world to do his bidding. Although he lost in the end, it took the whole season to bring him down.

5 EASY VILLAINS: Rainbow Raider

The Flash Rainbow Raider Roy G. Bivolo

Rainbow Raider may have been one of the first Flash villains to get the upper hand on Barry, but after The Flash recovered, he was easily able to take him out with the help of the Green Arrow.

He hasn't appeared much in the last few years so it's safe to say that Barry was able to take care of him once and for all.

4 TOUGH VILLAINS: Godspeed

Godspeed has made appearances in both season 5 and season 6 of the show, as a villain from the future. He has never really faced Barry one on one but has easily been able to take on XS and has been fast enough to dodge Barry and the team.

He's pure evil and although he has one of the best suits in the list, he is someone that has given Barry a hard time. Hopefully, their next matchup can prove to be easier.

3 EASY VILLAINS: Multiplex

Multiplex from The Flash

Multiplex is so forgettable, that he only appeared in one episode and was easily taken down by Barry. On paper, he should be one of the most powerful rogues on the list but he has been so underwhelming, he is more of a joke than anything.

He can multiply and he has used it for bad things and you would think he would be able to take on the Flash but the show proves otherwise.

2 TOUGH VILLAINS: Reverse-Flash

As a recurring villain on the show, it seems like he is always playing Chess when the rest of Team Flash is playing checkers. No matter how many times Barry has been able to take down Reverse-Flash, he always finds a way to get out on top or manipulate his way to getting out of any situation.

In both the comics and the show Reverse-Flash is Barry's greatest enemy and the one who will always be on top.

1 EASY VILLAINS: Trajectory

The Flash Trajectory Review

This villain didn't even last an episode. Trajectory was a fellow speedster that took chemicals to run fast and perform as a speedster. Although she was faster than Barry, she was extremely inexperienced and that's what led to her downfall and super tragic death.

She could've been a great enemy to the Flash Zoom or Godspeed but instead, she was just a one and done and example of why the Velocity formulas don't work.
