The Flash spoilers follow.
The Flash may well bring back Tom Cavanagh's Reverse-Flash for one last villainous hoorah before wrapping up the series.
Arrowverse fans will recall Cavanagh's character bowing out in season 6, with Team Flash successfully creating a machine to exorcise him from Nash Wells's body – rendering him an energy being without a host.
Now, TVLine has teased Cavanagh's potential return in the near future.

"I'm not saying that this is going to happen, but [Arrowverse EP] Greg [Berlanti] and I always felt that when Grant [Gustin] decides to depart the show, it'd be hard to imagine a scenario other than 'Batman comes home to Joker,' and Flash and Reverse-Flash settle things," the actor said.
"It'd be hard to imagine a different storyline — and that's all I'm going to say right now."
That's pretty damn close to a confirmation, we'll say. But, we're going to have to wait and see.

In other news, it was recently announced that a new crossover event for The Flash was in development, which'll act as the launch of season 8.
The Arrowverse never disappoints – so there's plenty of superhero action to look forward to.
