Flash flooding in Larimer County impacts Glen Haven, Estes Park - The Denver Post

Officials warned residents near Glen Haven to move to higher ground Sunday when flash flooding hit parts of Larimer County.

The areas around Steamside Drive and Fishermans Lane just north of Glen Haven were most impacted, according to the National Weather Service at Boulder.

“Immediately reach higher ground by any means necessary,” the Larimer County Sheriff’s office warned in an emergency alert around 3 p.m.

A broader flash flood warning for the region included Glen Haven, Estes Park and Drake and expired at 4:45 p.m.

Around 5 p.m., the sheriff’s office said that flooding had receded and residents who evacuated from the Glen Haven area could return home. Black Creek Drive, off Steamside Drive, remained impassable, according to the sheriff’s office.
