The Flash season 7 might have only just concluded on The CW, but fans are already eager to know when the next season of The CW’s veteran superhero drama. While The Flash season 8 is coming in 2021, fans are going to have to be patient as it’s going to be a little while before we return to Central City.
Following yet another successful season, The CW has renewed The Flash for an eighth season which it has also confirmed will be debuting as part of its 2021 Fall TV schedule. Even better, we can rest assured in knowing that we won’t have to say goodbye to any other original cast members with Grant Gustin, Candice Patton, Danielle Panabaker and Jesse L. Martin have all signed on to return for season 8.
The good news is that The Flash season 8 is coming in 2021, but the bad news is that the new season will not be coming to The CW in August.
With the month upon us, The CW has confirmed its August schedule and a new season of The Flash was not among the list of titles coming in the month for fans to enjoy.

Although The Flash season 8 won’t be coming in August, the good news is that fans won’t have to wait too long before Barry and the rest of Team Flash return!
While season 7 only just wrapped in late July, The CW has confirmed The Flash will return as part of its fall line-up. This year, The CW will be kicking off its fall season with a bit of an unusual rollout plan which will see shows begin to return and debut in mid-October and trickle back into the line-up throughout November.
In fact, it’s in November that The Flash will finally make its way back to The CW’s lineup. As confirmed by The CW, season 8 of The Flash will premiere on Tuesday, Nov. 16 at 8/7c, where it will lead into new episodes of Riverdale which will be moving to Tuesdays beginning this fall.
While little is known about season 8, it has been confirmed the season will begin with a special five-episode event that promises to be quite a treat for fans.
