The Flash Could Give Another Hero The Spotlight After Cisco & Wells Leave - Screen Rant

Cisco Ramon (Carlos Valdez) and Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh) leaving The Flash after season 7 could lead to a much bigger role for Kayla Compton’s Allegra Garcia. Allegra, who has been on the show season 6, may be forced to step up in a huge way in the near future.

Team Flash has been through a number of changes. Due to the sudden firing of Hartley Sawyer, it lost the Elongated Man, arguably the Scarlet Speedster’s most important ally on the field. In the season 7 premiere, Nash sacrificed his life to get Barry Allen his speed back, but another Wells has since emerged, and it’s been said he will be around quite a bit in season 7. The team took another hit in its latest episode when Danielle Panabaker’s Killer Frost – who was recently split off from Caitlin – was sentenced to prison. Now, it’s been confirmed The Flash will be losing Wells and Cisco, the latter of which being one of Barry’s best friends since season 1.

With them gone, viewers may see Allegra take the spotlight. As things stand, she has very little interaction with Barry. She isn’t one of the characters who typically joins him in combat against metahuman criminals, as she’s usually off helping Iris (Candace Patton) as a part of the show’s “Team Citizen” story. However, things may be different for her when Cisco leaves. Chester P. Runk (Brandon McKnight) may be able to take his place as the tech expert, but he’s not someone they can count on in a fight like they can with Cisco as Vibe (or Mecha-Vibe). That may be why they’ll need Allegra to use her electromagnetic abilities to become a full-time superhero with Team Flash.

The Flash Allegra Garcia Frost Season 7

Team Flash shrinking may force Barry to start relying on Allegra for help on a regular basis, which he really hasn’t had to do yet. If she starts working closely with Team Flash in S.T.A.R. Labs and joining Barry in the field, she could finally receive a costume and perhaps even a proper codename. With her command over the electromagnetic spectrum, she could turn out to be a competent hero in season 8.

It’s worth noting that there’s a possibility Barry will find himself needing her much sooner than expected. In season 7, Barry’s two main metahuman allies have been Cisco and Frost, so for as long as Frost is in prison, there’ll be an empty spot on the team. If she fills it right away, The Flash could begin gradually increasing her role on Barry’s team ahead of Cisco’s departure at the end of the season. If by any chance Frost doesn’t leave prison and re-enter the fold soon, Allegra may become Barry’s sole superhero partner in The Flash season 8. Since he's been fighting beside Frost and Vibe for years now, adding in Allegra would be an interesting way to mix things up.
