George Clooney says he "didn't get call" to reprise Batman role for The Flash - digitalspy.com

With the likes of Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck set to don the Batsuit once again, the question on everyone's lips is whether George Clooney will do the same.

Both former stars are set to return in the upcoming Flash movie as Ezra Miller's character encounters various versions of the Caped Crusader.

Clooney played the role of Batman in the widely-panned Batman & Robin – you know, the one with the infamous nipple Batsuit.

The star, who has said Keaton's reprisal "would be fantastic", has now been asked whether he himself would join his fellow Batman veterans in The Flash.

Speaking to Empire, Clooney replied: "[laughs] It's funny – you'll notice they didn't call me! Somehow I didn't get that call. They did not ask for my nipples."

He added: "Listen, there are certain things you never know. This one, I know [laughs]."

It comes after Clooney recently admitted that he was "terrible" in Batman & Robin, something that he seems to be at peace with.

"The only way you can honestly talk about things is to include yourself and your shortcomings in those things," he said. "Like, when I say Batman & Robin's a terrible film, I always go, 'I was terrible in it.'

"Because I was, number one. But also because then it allows you the ability to say, 'Having said I sucked in it, I can also say that none of these other elements worked, either.' You know? Lines like 'Freeze, Freeze!'"

The Flash is currently scheduled for release in cinemas on November 4, 2022.
