The Flash: Where the Arrowverse Left Every Hero in ‘Armageddon’ - CBR - Comic Book Resources

Season 8 of The Flash will kick off with a crossover event entitled "Armageddon," which will bring together a number of characters from across the Arrowverse to face off against the alien menace Despero. Several of the characters who will be returning for "Armageddon" haven't appeared in years, and given the wide range of shows within the Arrowverse, each of them has a vastly different story.

With that being the case, let's break down where every hero who is returning for "Armageddon" was last seen.

Batwoman

Batwoman Season 2 - Ryan Wilder

Season 2 of Batwoman follows Ryan Wilder as she assumes the mantle of Batwoman and comes to grips with her past. After helping Kate Kane regain her memories and defeating the sinister Black Mask, Ryan fully accepts the Batwoman name and everything that comes with it. As the season ends, she is released from parole and works with her allies to open a community center. However, she is also faced with a number of future challenges, including the reveal that her biological mother is still alive, as well as a number of items belonging to Batman's villains washing up on Gotham's shores.

The Atom

After debuting in Arrow Season 3 as a foil to Oliver Queen, Ray Palmer joins the Legends, using his size-changing Atom suit in their time-traveling adventures. From being knighted by the Queen of Camelot to having his body possessed by the demon Neron, the good-natured Ray has had quite the superhero career in the Arrowverse. After "Crisis on Infinite Earths," however, he marries Nora Darhk and leaves the team so that she can focus on her new job as the Fairy Godmother.

Mia Smoak

Throughout Arrow's seventh and eighth seasons, Oliver Queen's daughter proves herself to be a hero in her own right. After helping take down the Eden Corps and the Deathstroke gang in 2040, Mia Queen is transported to 2019 to meet her father. Although they have a rocky start, Mia and Oliver eventually warm up to each other and begin to work together as a team.

When "Crisis" begins, Mia and the rest of Team Arrow work together to defeat the Anti-Monitor. Although the monster manages to wipe out the multiverse, the Paragons manage to create a new one and bring back everyone who was lost. In the new timeline, Laurel gives Mia her memories back and she becomes the new Green Arrow, keeping the future Star City safe, just like her father before her.

Black Lightning

After being injected with an experimental serum as a youth, Jefferson Pierce became the electrokinetic superhero Black Lightning. In his adult years, Pierce protects the city of Freeland, with his main goal being to take down his father's killer, the crime lord Tobias Whale. In doing so, he assembles a team of friends and family members to aid him, with each of them adopting superhero identities.

Black Lightning is pulled from his universe to join in the battle against the Anti-Monitor and his forces but is ultimately killed by the anti-matter waves that wipe out the universe. Luckily, he is restored to life by the Paragons and joins Barry Allen's crisis team on Earth-Prime before returning to Freeland. After defeating Tobias Whale once and for all, Jefferson retires from being a hero, entrusting his team to protect Freeland.

She has been by her sister's side from the start of her superhero career, using her connections as an agent of the D.E.O. to help her in her battles against extraterrestrial threats. Alex eventually becomes the director of the D.E.O. but resigns after disagreeing with its new leader Lex Luthor. She currently operates as a member of Kara's superhero team under the codename Sentinel and is dating Jimmy Olsen's sister, Kelly.

Ryan Choi

Ryan Choi is a scientist and a huge fan of Ray Palmer from Ivy Town. During "Crisis," Ryan is revealed to be the Paragon of Humanity and is saved from the multiverse's destruction. He and the rest of the Paragons figure out how to recreate the universe, and they later battle Shadow Demons at the Dawn of Time while the Spectre faces the Anti-Monitor himself. The Paragons combine their power with the Spectre's and the universe is recreated. After the Paragons defeat the Anti-Monitor once and for all, Ryan returns to his family in Ivy Town.
