BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2021 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Delray Beach man refused to pay his dinner check at Casa D’Angelo in East Boca Raton, then allegedly told police he’s worth $27M and frequently eats in restaurants where the owners won’t file charges for refusing to pay.

If that’s true, William Nobrega’s luck ran out over the past several days, as three restaurants filed police reports about his actions, although two did refuse to prosecute.

Norbrega, of 900 Dogwood Drive, says he’s the owner and founder of “The Konrad Group” in Miami and worth millions and millions of dollars.

From the police report, obtained by BocaNewsNow.com:

“On May 12, 2021 at approximately 2232 hours, I responded to Casa D` Angelo located at 171 E Palmetto Park Rd Boca Raton, FL in reference to a male refusing to pay his bill.  I met with the restaurant manager, who advised me that the male later identified as William Nobrega ate / drank $ 117 worth of food and liquor.  William refused to pay the bill for an hour and a half at which time the manager called police.  I then made contact with William and afforded him the opportunity to pay the bill.  William initially stated he would pay with a credit card.

William did not have a wallet with him, nor did he have any credit aards.  Numerous attempts were made to obtain a credit card or banking information on William`s smart phone.  I also asked William if he could call someone to help him pay but William refused to call anyone or provide a phone number to be assisted.  I talked with William for approximately 17 minutes to afford him the opportunity to pay.  I exhausted all means to avoid him being arrested.

It was clear and evident that William was stalling to not pay the bill.  After trying to assist William for 17 minutes, he finally admitted he had no way of paying the bill and had no intention to.  It should also be noted that the past two days William has obtained food at two other restaurants in the downtown Boca Raton area and refused to pay.

On 5/11/21 at Runa`s Peruvian Cuisine (case # 2021-00xx) and on 5/10/21 at Vespri Sicilani (case # 2021-005xx).  Both restaurants refused to prosecute.  Based on my investigation, I determined that William intentionally and knowingly obtained food with the intent to defraud Casa De Angelo.  William was placed under arrest pursuant to F.S.S 509.151 (1).

Nobrega said to me that he is the founder of the Konrad Group.  William acknowledged to me that he is worth approximately 27 million dollars.  William further admitted that he intentionally eats at these restaurants and does not pay because he knows the owners will not press charges.  Armando Naclerio provided Officer Crowe a sworn taped statement which was captured on his MVR of him.

After being transported to the Boca Raton Police Station, William complained his chest hurt.  Boca Raton Fire Rescue responded and transported William to Boca Regional Hospital.  After being medically cleared by the hospital William was transported to Palm Beach County Jail.”

William Nobrega was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail on a charge of fraud/swindle/defraud operator (of) food/lodging of less than $1000. He remains held on $5,000 bond early Friday morning.
