The Flash's seventh season will see the return of some fan-favourite villains, according to star Danielle Nicolet. We already know about Killer Frost, but who else is Grant Gustin's Barry Allen going to find himself up against?

Ahead of The Flash's return, Nicolet – who plays attorney Cecile Horton in the Arrowverse series – has revealed that "some bad guy favourites" will be "paying a visit or two".

During The Flash's presentation at the virtual CCXP in Brazil, Danielle said that although she can't tell us too much about the new season, she will admit to time travel – and some exciting villainy.

"You know we're not allowed to tell you secrets about the season. But I will say I think it's a reasonable assumption that, yeah we always have time travel, on some level, happening," she teased (via ComicBook.com).

"I mean, I can tell you this, there are going to be some favourites from the past, some bad guys favourites that may be paying a visit or two this season."

Heavily hinting at villains from The Flash's past, Danielle stopped short of putting two and two together, adding: "I'll leave it up to you to speculate on how they're going to get to us."

Something we do know about the show's plans for one of its villains involves Killer Frost, played by Danielle Panabaker.

Speaking back in September, Danielle shared her excitement over a development in Killer Frost's love life. "I'm excited because it sounds like Killer Frost is going to go on a date soon, and I'm really excited to see that," she said.

"Do you think she has the best table manners? Probably not."

The Flash airs on The CW in the US. Sky One and NOW TV air the show in the UK.
