DC Villains Figured Out The Best Way To Track The Flash - Screen Rant

Warning! Spoilers for The Flash #765 below.

Barry Allen a.k.a. The Flash is considered to be one of the fastest speedsters alive and as a result of his connection with the Speed Force, it's nearly impossible for his enemies to track him. But as The Flash battles with Albert Desmond a.k.a. Dr. Alchemy in an attempt to free him from his possession of a powerful artifact known as The Philosophers Stone, he realizes that his enemies no longer need to be speedsters in order to track him down.

Although there are plenty of speedsters in the DC Universe like Eobard Thawne a.k.a. the Reverse-Flash - who's arguably DC's greatest villain that can often match The Flash's speed and catch him, there are plenty other members in his rogue's gallery that do not possess the ability to track him such as Captain Boomerang, Trickster, Gorilla Grodd, and even Dr. Alchemy. Because these villains lack the speed to track and catch The Flash, they must rely on their wit to lure him into a trap and as The Flash fights Dr. Alchemy in Iris West's family cabin in Kevin Shinick, Will Conrad, Sami Basri, Bernard Chang, and Inhyuk Lee's The Flash #765, he realizes that one of the Trickster's greatest traps has already been sprung and he's no longer out of sight.

After learning that one of his oldest foes - Dr. Alchemy - knows Barry's secret identity, he quickly grabs Iris and brings her to her family's cabin in Blue Valley, Nebraska. Shortly after the two arrive at the cabin, Iris notices his feet are becoming one with the wooden floorboards, which can only mean one thing - Dr. Alchemy has tracked their location and is using his transmute abilities to capture The Flash. Immediately after looking down at his feet, he says aloud to himself, "No! There's no way he could've found this place." Then, Dr. Alchemy bursts through an adjacent wall and attempts to attack The Flash, but not before plummeting to the floor and being genetically twisted into one of the countless individuals who have possessed The Philosophers Stone.

During the transformation, Dr. Alchemy not only reveals how he has discovered his secret identity; but also states that the Trickster has found a way to track him. Dr. Alchemy begins by reminding The Flash about the goggles that the Trickster places on his head while being in his evil Dave and Buster's - which occurs in The Flash #763. Then, he continues by telling him that not only was the Trickster putting a pair of goggles over his mask, but he was also embedding cameras into his pupils - allowing many of The Flash's rogues gallery to know of his location at all times.

Considering the Trickster's camera tech is revolutionary in the DC's villain's ability to track The Flash's movements, it's bewildering that Dr. Alchemy is willing to give away the secret so soon. But then again, who knows how easy it will it be for The Flash to remove them.
