Warner Bros. is on the move again, and several DC films have been shoved back if not completely undated.
Late in the evening on Monday, Warner Bros. made some additional schedule changes, and none of them are going to make DC fans very happen. As we already covered, The Batman has moved back by five months.
Other moves made include The Flash once again being pushed back from June 3, 2022 to Nov. 4, 2022. That date was previously occupied by Shazam: Fury of the Gods, and that film has now moved to June 2, 2023.
Completely removed from the schedule date wise is the long-gestating Black Adam. This does not mean the film is canceled, it just means that its new release schedule is still being decided.
Here is an update to Warner Bros. schedule.
- Dune – Oct. 1, 2021
- The Matrix 4 – Dec. 22, 2021
- The Batman – Mar. 4, 2022
- The Flash – Nov. 4, 2022
- Shazam! 2 – Jun. 2, 2023
- Black Adam – TBD
- Minecraft – TBD
It should be noted that Wonder Woman 1984 remains on Dec. 25, 2020 for now, and The Suicide Squad remains dated for Aug. 6, 2021. With theaters temporarily closing due to lack of business, we do feel there is still a chance for the former to change its date.
For now the schedule seems to be settled, but we don’t consider any of these new dates to be set in stone as of yet.
